A "Black Swan Event" is when the unexpected occurs, causing a huge mindshift and change in how the world works. People never imagined that Black Swans existed, until the discovery of the first Black Swan... (as per book "The Black Swan", by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, 2007, that sold over 3 million copies)

Is a perception change the next Black Swan Event? Consider that by changing perception we might change the world. Look at everyday things from different angles. Find beauty in the unexpected...
Change our thinking, change our actions, change our world!

See that all people are part of God's puzzle and have something to give. Black swans do exist. The ugly duckling was actually a swan who needed to discover himself and where he fitted and be who he was meant to be. To the last, the lost and the least, you are beautiful as you are.
May all who visit this page feel God's touch and experience His blessing...

I, The Lord Thy God, Am a Jealous God

I read a comment once by someone, who replied to a Christian article and said, what does it matter if she wants to find her own spirituality--why do Christians always think that their way is the only right way? She seemed to feel Christians are pompous to follow God as they do. And she said let each person find a spiritual path that works for him or her. I am sure you will agree that this is a good sentiment--I do agree that there will be a lot more peace if we each allow each other to be who we are, and to find our own individuality and to live our own beliefs.

However, there is one key point I would like to make and this is the crux of Christianity: Spirituality, I believe, is more than something that makes you feel good and is interesting, a Christian believes that following God brings eternal life. A Christian believes that our spirituality is what saves us from evil. In the Bible, Old Testament, the Ten Commandments (Exodus 20), God says He alone is God and that we must worship Him alone. And in the Bible, Matthew 22:37 (KJV) it is written: "Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." So while each person is free to find his or own individuality and beliefs, it is not so much a question of Christians always feeling that they are right, so much as if a Christian does hold doubt about God, then the Christian is not honouring his or her own beliefs, which is that there is only one living God, who we find through Jesus: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV)

A Christian honours Jesus, who is the Son of God, and honours the Father, and the Holy Spirit, by testifying to the Christian faith. It is the way we hang on to what we believe is our salvation, after all, Jesus said (Matthew 10:33 KJV), "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." Christians believe there is only one living God, and we believe Jesus saves us from Satan, and we believe salvation is by Christ alone. A Christian believes that anything different is a ploy from Satan to obscure truth. I search for truth as I worry I may be following the wrong path myself, and I quest for God's true church. "And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light." (2 Corinthians 11:14 WEB)

If a Christian tells you there is only one God and this is God as Christians believe in Him, try to view this differently--you are not being told this because a Christian is arrogant or wants to be right--this is what a Christian really believes is truth, and wants to honour Jesus, and spread the good news about how to save your soul.

But...what do you believe?... It is your choice to make. If you are religious, you probably feel the same way about your own religion and that your way is the right way too. Honour your own truth.

"And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."  (Joshua 24:15 KJV)

I  posted this blog article previously on another blog, on the 7th August 2012, but felt many have not read this article, and I hope it gives some people a new view of Christians and Christianity. May God bless you all.
