A "Black Swan Event" is when the unexpected occurs, causing a huge mindshift and change in how the world works. People never imagined that Black Swans existed, until the discovery of the first Black Swan... (as per book "The Black Swan", by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, 2007, that sold over 3 million copies)

Is a perception change the next Black Swan Event? Consider that by changing perception we might change the world. Look at everyday things from different angles. Find beauty in the unexpected...
Change our thinking, change our actions, change our world!

See that all people are part of God's puzzle and have something to give. Black swans do exist. The ugly duckling was actually a swan who needed to discover himself and where he fitted and be who he was meant to be. To the last, the lost and the least, you are beautiful as you are.
May all who visit this page feel God's touch and experience His blessing...

Return To The Warrior King's Abode

I decided to include a story here that I wrote recently, for an entry to a building description competition, limit of 300 words. I read the first entry by someone else, and thought "Wow, he is using a story to give the description". So I tried it too. Try to see things from different angles. Use different ways to approach subjects. You might be surprised at what you discover. This is my entry:

My heart thumps heavy thuds as I pull my exhausted silver brumby to a halt, our furious dash over rocky terrain now a thing of the past. I leap from Figure's sweaty, heaving body, and rush into the cavernous doorway yawning before me, the heavy wooden door standing with mouth wide ajar, teetering dangerously close to crashing off hinges rusted by time. I force myself to a quick stop, deciding which way to take into the maze that encompasses the Warrior King's castle. Dim gloom throws a blanket cover over me as I edge over cobbled walkways into the tunnels I know so well. Candle light flickers spasmodically along the walls, like guiding fairy lights enticing me onto a secret promise. I feel my way along walls dripping with damp, the rough-hewn stone upon stone stacked imposingly around me, over me, a crushing weight. No exit. Light seeps through slitted ceiling grates that appear and are gone in a moment. Dank smells tickle my nose. I stop as I pick up a faint scurrying noise, then leap nervously, bumping my head, as I feel small furry bodies swarming over my feet. In a moment they are gone. A wound quickly blossoms and trickles a few drops of blood. Debris sifts down in a fine shower of dust. Light beckons, and I am there. I step out into the scurrying inner sanctum. Villagers throng in a swarming multitude, surrounded by guards, as they pay their homages to this coming celebratory union. The hall is a wide open vibrant space, filled with light. Laughter floats around me. Music soars. Rich smells of roasting meat cause my stomach to tighten. I throw off my cloak, and the crowd gasps as I stride forward and claim my crown, the crown of the Warrior King.
