A "Black Swan Event" is when the unexpected occurs, causing a huge mindshift and change in how the world works. People never imagined that Black Swans existed, until the discovery of the first Black Swan... (as per book "The Black Swan", by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, 2007, that sold over 3 million copies)

Is a perception change the next Black Swan Event? Consider that by changing perception we might change the world. Look at everyday things from different angles. Find beauty in the unexpected...
Change our thinking, change our actions, change our world!

See that all people are part of God's puzzle and have something to give. Black swans do exist. The ugly duckling was actually a swan who needed to discover himself and where he fitted and be who he was meant to be. To the last, the lost and the least, you are beautiful as you are.
May all who visit this page feel God's touch and experience His blessing...

Does Secular Society Discourage Christianity?

Note: I believe totally in freedom of religion, though it astounds me that previously Christian countries seem so willing to do away with open expressions of Christianity

A fictional analogy:

You've read the article hundreds of times, it's frayed edges threatening to flake off in your hands. It reads, "We want you! Needed: expertise and skills. Wanted: all eligible candidates. Culture: non binding. Religion: secular"

Excitement grows. You will be able to move to this wonderful new land, and take all your friends and family with you, and be able to practice your own culture and religion! It will be hard leaving your own country behind, as you have grown up and spent your whole life here, but the infrastructure just isn't in place to make your home country a viable option for the future of your two adorable children. It is so difficult to earn enough to buy a house in this stagnant climate and most of the people who live here live in the shanty town, where homes are made of scrap metal and cloth and timber. There aren't enough doctors and crime is rampant, and never mind the streets, you'll get knocked over trying to cross the road! You have been telling everyone you meet that you are moving, and they are thinking of moving too! And you know they will come, however they need to and it will be so great to work and socialise and worship freely someday in this new land!

You wonder briefly why the country you are moving to now says their religion is secular, as you are sure they used to be Christian. Maybe they don't like their culture, you giggle in amazement. You realise there are many people who live with you who do not actually take part in worship, but they would never say they are not from your culture, which is so much a part of your religion! You are all forced to take part in all parts of your culture from an early age, from when you can first remember, and you can't imagine another way of life.

You are a bit worried about bumping into Christmas and Easter goods in shops someday, but you have heard many people don't even wish each other "Merry Christmas" there, preferring instead to say "Happy Holidays", and that's because they want you to come over and they don't want to offend you! You are not sure why they are so keen to do away with their own culture, but it suits you perfectly! You start planning all you will need to do to move.
